Ace took second place in the spring opener at Trails End Ranch in Oklahoma. Ready for action back in Kansas to begin next weekend. Check back for his progress.

We have been fortunate this past week to pin a wild covey on three separate occasions and a second today. This was after a stop to flush on top of an edge.

Ace on a wild covey find today. His training is progressing right on schedule. We open up February 13th with the first trial of the spring. I am looking forward to a great ending of his derby season and a run at dog of the year. We have several up and coming setters worth a look, sired by CH Hytest Skyhawk as well as CH Jetsetter.

One of our young prospects hitting a pigeon with style. It is nice to have some milder temperatures to get out and work our setters, young and old, on birds. We currently have a few pups for sale among two started pups sired by Ace.

Pups whelped 3 days ago, CH Jetsetter and Iron. First litter is approaching 9 months and it sounds like we have some promising prospects. Should start seeing them in competition soon.

Just finished up the fall trial season here in Kansas. Ace took second place. He competed in five trials this fall, placing in all of them. Hopefully we will get some work done this winter and keep up the streak. Happy hunting!

Ace finishes third in Eskridge over the weekend. On a roll, we have one more trial this fall. Hopefully we can keep it together and finish strong.

Ace takes first at the Stranger Creek FTC Open Derby. His litter-mate sister, Sage, also placed finishing third. This is his first win, following several second place finishes.

Just concluded our first trial of the fall and finished with a second place at the Greypointe grounds in Tonganoxie, KS. A good start for the season. Conditions were warmer than I would have liked but Ace handled it pretty well.

These two pups are sired by Ace, 5 1/2 months old, and ready to hit the field this fall. They have been pointing birds as you can see, exposed to gunfire, and well socialized. These pups will make excellent gun dogs with some trial potential. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

One of our 6 week old Jet/Tango pups on the barrel. Looks like another nice litter sired by Jet. I have a few remaining pups from this litter for sale. All pups have good tail sets and action to this point. Hopefully we will see some of these pups in the winners' circle in the years to come. If you have any questions just let me know.

This pup has potential! One of our Jetsetter/Iron pups pinning down a quail on the east coast. I am expecting this litter to produce some nice dogs and look forward to watching them progress. Thanks Carl!

Here is one of our Jet pups on the barrel at 4 weeks of age. All of the pups look like they will have nice tails with good action. They will be ready for new homes in a couple of weeks.

This is one of our current pups sired by Ace. He is throwing clean and straight-tailed pups. I will continue to evaluate their progress, meanwhile, I will be offering some of them for sale. If interested, don't hesitate to call.

Back to back weekends, Ace places second in an Open Walking Derby Stake. He had one find and a nice forward race at the Wichita Bird Dog Clubs grounds in Moline, KS. A special thanks to my scout, LG Barnard, for his efforts getting Ace through the course.

Ace just received his first trial placement, a second, at the Rock Springs Field Trial Club, Open Walking Derby Stake. He had one broke find and finished strong to take second place.

With a couple days rest and a fresh grooming, Ace was ready to get back in the field. I am anxiously awaiting his first trial experience in a couple of weeks.

Skydancer Iron Time has been bred to CH Jetsetter. Iron has great conformation and tail set, a nice even tri-color mask, and is OFA excellent. I am currently taking deposits on this litter. For those of you looking for a new pup this could be a great cross.

This is a pup out of Aces' first sired litter at 6 weeks. Littermates showed the same willingness to stand on the barrel with straight tails. We are anxious to see what kind of bird dogs these pups will grow into. We currently are evaluating Aces' second sired litter and will be offering some of them for sale in the future. Check back for pics of the new litter.

This is Skydancer Skyview Ace, purchased from Skydance Kennels in Dousman, WI. He is smart-minded, very biddable, runs with a high cracking tail, points 12 o'clock, has a great tail set and conformation. He is our foundation stud here at Skyview Setters. His pups have been very clean and carry hard edge tails. Ace will be competing in derby walking trials within the next few weeks.
