Ace spent the summer with Travis Gellhaus and is seen here pointing a pair of chickens on the prairies. He has adapted well from a walking derby to a major championship circuit horseback shooting dog. Ace will run a few championships before returning home later this fall. He has gained some great experience as a first year dog, maybe we will knock one out along the way. We are busy enhancing the string in his absence and are looking forward to his return.

Will has been progressing very well over the summer and I am looking forward to his success on the trial circuit. We will open up in Tonganoxie, KS the end of Sept. for his first trial exposure. Still a youngster this pup is showing maturity well beyond his age. This is what I have come to expect from his breeding. Previous littermates from both litters have shown early maturity and run.

After a very successful season we concluded our run with the KFTCA summer banquet. Ace was awarded walking derby of the year as well as Kansas Setter of the year. He is currently up north with Travis Gellhaus running the prairies in preparation for some horseback stakes in the future. Looking forward to getting him back and running him as a first year shooting dog.

Hasn't rained for three weeks, now it rains for three days. We still managed to work a few young pups in between sprinkles. Looks like one of the three knows where the bird is. Our string is progressing well. Ready for puppy stakes this fall with high hopes of running derby stakes as well.

One more littermate, Iron by CH Jetsetter. This is a female I kept that I hope has a bright future. A busy summer awaits trying to get these pups ready for potential derby running. I am very anxious to see what the pups look like out of our upcoming litter from Iron by Derby Classic winner, Kansas Walking Derby of the Year, Ace.

Another littermate male out of CH Jetsetter and Iron, Skyview Hard to Guard. We currently have five young prospects here at Skyview Setters and early training has begun. Upon successful progress we may start trialing in the fall. Check back for summer updates and our next planned breeding, Ace X Iron this August. Both Sire and Dam are OFA Excellent!

Taking time out to piont a pigeon over the weekend. This pup has everything going for him. Things are pretty quiet here at Skyview Setters. We finished up a successful spring trial season with Ace placing in every trial entered. Getting ready to breed him to Iron, pups due August 2010! Looking for the next addition to the Skyview string.

Ace just finished his derby season by winning the Derby Classic in Havensville, KS over the weekend. With this win, Ace, sealed derby of the year honors and should be a strong candidate for setter of the year in Kansas. His derby season included 11 placements, placing in every trial entered. Ace is available at stud by private treaty. I look forward to his continued success. We have several young prospects here at Skyview Setters with some big shoes to fill.

Our first look at an orange and white female out of Jetsetter, Skyview New Addition, placed first in the puppy stake at Tonganoxie, KS over the weekend. At only 8 months she is showing some good promise. She will have my full attention through the summer and I look forward to her progression.

Ace finished first over the weekend in Tonganoxie, KS after besting the field of 11. This win puts him in a good position to claim derby of the year honors. Next weekend we will finish up the season in Havensville at the derby classic which will conclude his derby run.

Just returned from our first spring trial here in Kansas. Started the season with a placement in preparation for the Derby Classic to be held next weekend in Havensville, KS. Looking forward to a strong showing.

We have been fortunate this past week to pin a wild covey on three separate occasions and a second today. This was after a stop to flush on top of an edge.

Ace on a wild covey find today. His training is progressing right on schedule. We open up February 13th with the first trial of the spring. I am looking forward to a great ending of his derby season and a run at dog of the year. We have several up and coming setters worth a look, sired by CH Hytest Skyhawk as well as CH Jetsetter.

One of our young prospects hitting a pigeon with style. It is nice to have some milder temperatures to get out and work our setters, young and old, on birds. We currently have a few pups for sale among two started pups sired by Ace.

Pups whelped 3 days ago, CH Jetsetter and Iron. First litter is approaching 9 months and it sounds like we have some promising prospects. Should start seeing them in competition soon.

Just finished up the fall trial season here in Kansas. Ace took second place. He competed in five trials this fall, placing in all of them. Hopefully we will get some work done this winter and keep up the streak. Happy hunting!
